СhromaCol columns, used for preparative and industrial chromatography, are highly efficient devices for laboratory, semi-industrial and industrial chemical unmixing, as well as obtaining pure substances.

The columns are made as glass cylinders with a diameter of 10, 20, 30, 50 and 100 mm. The length of the column is from 200 to 1000 mm. At the same time columns can be customized and have individual parameters.

The ends of the columns are equipped with a device for supply and distribution of the mobile phase. The patented device, which allows you to change the height of the moving layer, ensures that the columns can be adjusted to a variable height, thus they are perfectly suited for aidless filling with a sorbent, which improves the universalization of the columns. Transparent walls of the cylinders allow you to visually control the process of the impurity front precipitation that is commonly relevant in the process of purifying substances.

Operating principle of the columns

The operating principle of ChromaCol chromatographic columns lies in the uneven fixation of various chemical substances by the sorbent, depending on their structure and molecular weight, as well as the nature of the sorbent (stationary phase) and the type of eluent. As a result, it is easy enough to create conditions for highly efficient unmixing of most chemicals. At the same time, there is practically no or minimal risk of the substance mass loss, its oxidation etc. Consequently, preparative chromatography is one of the most accessible, simple and effective methods for unmixing considerable amounts of substances and obtaining high-purity chemicals.

Application area

Сolumns СhromаCol are used for the concentration of various components, separation of mixtures, the production of high-purity substances, as well as other tasks in the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries.

Advantages of ChromaCol columns

  • High selectivity;
  • Ability to adjust the height of the sorbent layer (and unmixing efficiency) for one column;
  • Ability to use a selectable sorbent;
  • Multiple use;
  • Wide range of models.
